Last month, we got a few bits of information on the upcoming season of Documentary Now!. We already know three of the films that creators Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, and Seth Meyers plan on satirizing -- namely, The War Room, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, and Salesman -- but now a fourth has been revealed. The episode entitled "Mr. Runner Up" will be using the hammy Robert Evans bio The Kid Stays in the Picture as its source inspiration.

An in-depth look at the life of the Godfather and Rosemary's Baby uber-producer, The Kid Stays in the Picture was released in 2002 to much critical acclaim. A cult figure in pop culture, Evans had his own animated series called Kid Notorious and has been spoofed by everyone from Bob Odenkirk on Mr. Show to Dustin Hoffman in the film Wag the Dog.

Taking a page from the Evans doc, Documentary Now!'s "Mr. Runner Up" will chronicle the career of an aging Hollywood producer (played by Hader) attempting a comeback after a precipitous decline. And following the likes of the previous season's double-episode focusing on the faux soft rock band The Blue Jean Committee, "Mr. Runner Up" will be extended into a two-parter.
