From Idris Elba bringing costar Abraham Attah on stage while accepting the Best Supporting Male award to cohosts Kate McKinnon and Kumail Nanjiani spoofing Carol‘s “glove lunches,” the 2016 Spirit Awards were filled with hilarious and buzzworthy moments. The ceremony also broke new ground, with transgender actress Mya Taylor (Tangerine) and young Abraham Attah (Beasts of No Nation) both scoring their first of what is sure to be many more acting awards to come.Â
