SNL alum, Bridesmaids star, and all-around comedy powerhouse Kristen Wiig has earned heaps of critical acclaim for her fantastic performances, and today marked yet another. The actor-producer was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her turn as femme fatale Delores DeWinter in the loopy IFC miniseries The Spoils Before Dying.
A follow-up to last year’s equally unhinged The Spoils of Babylon in which Wiig also starred, the Will Ferrell-produced miniseries landed her a spot in the category Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries alongside notables like Nicole Kidman, Susan Sarandon, and Christina Ricci. It’s Wiig’s second SAG nomination for a comedy performance, which she shared with the rest of the Bridesmaids cast in 2012.
Root for Kristen when the SAG Awards air January 30th, 2016 on TBS.
