To celebrate America, we are showing the ultimate American tale: Scarface tonight at 8/7c. The film stars Al Pacino in one of his most popular and iconic roles: Tony Montana and if you don’t know Tony, you definitely want to get to know him by watching Brian De Palma‘s gloriously excessive, unapologetically operatic tale of crime, corruption and one man’s pride- (and drug-) fueled downward spiral into hell. It’s what the Founding Fathers would do.
It’s the rags-to-riches tale of a Cuban immigrant who started out as a lowly dishwasher:
But quickly rises through the ranks of Miami’s cocaine-fueled underworld until he’s got nothing but a bunch of dead loved ones, a pile of Snow White on his desk and pissed-off rivals coming up the stairs to shoot him full of holes. Does he look worried?
Nope. So tune in tonight to celebrate America’s independence. And if you don’t watch at 8/7c?
Just kidding! You can always watch it at 11:45/10:45c instead.
