D’oh! Why didn’t we think of mashing up Will Ferrell’s Harry Caray impression with The Lumineers interminable and irrepressible earworm “Ho Hey.” While in retrospect, this mash-up seems inevitable, genius frequently seems obvious in the rear window when you are laughing at 80 mph.
It’s the perfect reminder of how much we love Will Ferrell and why we are so excited for Spoils of Babylon, the epic six-part mini-series which comes to IFC in 2014. The straight-faced comedy is a sprawling adaptation of a fake best-selling novel by Eric Jonrosh, who is played by Ferrell. The story is a “century-spanning saga, [which] chronicles the sexy and dramatic lives of the Morehouse family, led by Jonas Morehouse (Tim Robbins), his daughter Cynthia (Kristen Wiig) and her adopted brother Devon (Tobey Maguire) who made their fortune in the oil business.”
You may as well watch this now because Spoils of Babylon is months away, the 4th of July is tomorrow and there’s no way you’re getting any work done today anyway:
