Jerry Seinfeld has been a busy man lately. Not only is his web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” kick off its second season (have you watched the episode with David Letterman yet?), but the comedian has also been honing his standup skills on the late night circuit. Even with all of that, the Seinfeld found time to contribute to stop by the recording studio while rapper Wale was working on his new album, “The Gifted,” which came out yesterday.
Wale is a huge fan of the show “Seinfeld,” to the extent that he had Julia Louis-Dreyfus make a cameo appearance on his awesome Seinfeld-inspired 2008 mixtape, the aptly-titled “Mixtape About Nothing,” which “Seinfeld” fans will recognize is a play on the fact that the show was frequently referred to as a “show about nothing.” Wale followed it up with “More About Nothing,” also a tribute to “Seinfeld.” He is reportedly also planning on having Seinfeld (the man, not the show) on his upcoming “Album About Nothing.” In fact, in the video you’ll see that Seinfeld jumped into the studio with Wale thinking he was contributing to the “Album About Nothing,” which was not exactly the case. The resulting back and forth is as funny as you would expect with Seinfeld proving that he is as capable of talking about “nothing” as ever.
