A new TV spot for “Star Trek Into Darkness” has hit the web. It highlights what we already know about the new movie: it looks gorgeous, Benedict Cumberbatch is going to be an awesome villain and there’s still a lot we don’t know about the movie.
Has anyone else noticed that we’re seeing a lot of the same footage in all of the “Trek” trailers being released? That’s actually probably a good thing, as J.J. Abrams has said time and again that he doesn’t want to spoil “Star Trek Into Darkness” for his fans. Our guess is that the movie has a lot of surprises in store and that these trailers and TV spots aren’t giving away as much as one might think.
“Star Trek Into Darkness” is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Karl Urban, John Cho, Alice Eve, Cumberbatch and Bruce Greenwood. The film is slated to hit theaters in IMAX on May 15 and in regular cinemas on May 17. It’s been revealed that over 40 minutes of “Star Trek Into Darkness” will be shown in IMAX.
