Remember those old anti-drug PSAs where an angry dad comes storming into his son’s room demanding to know where he learned to use drugs? the one where the kid tearfully turns to his dad and yells “J’accuse!” (What? We watched “Les Miserables” this weekend.) Okay in English the kid turns to his dad and tells him, “I learned it by watching you!” and the father is filled with guilt, regret and embarrassment over his poor life choices? Remember that? Well, Wayne does.
In this new clip from “Out There,” our new animated series, Wayne is determined to be a good parent and keep his teenaged son off drugs whatever it takes, so when he suspects Chad of using drugs he goes on a wild drug search that conjures up memories of his own youth. While no amount of plaster or furniture or drywall will stand in Wayne’s way of keeping Chad off of drugs, his own memories just might. It’s all part of those awkward adolescent years that are the focus of Ryan Quincey’s “Out There.”
