It’s been eight years since the cult classic “Napoleon Dynamite” hit the big screen bringing ligers, glamour shots, and Vote for Pedro into the popular vernacular. The highly quotable film follows the adventures of Napoleon (Jon Heder), a high school student who lives with his older brother, Kip (Aaron Ruell), his grandmother (Sandy Martin) and their pet llama, Tina (“Tina, come get some ham!” – sorry, it’s hard to resist). There’s the new kid Pedro (Efren Ramirez) whom Napoleon helps run for Class President, and Deb Bradshaw (Tina Majorino), a fellow student who just might “get” him. It’s pretty much the best. That’s why we are doing our part to make sure that every single person on this planet remembers the wonder, the glory, the magnificence of “Napoleon Dynamite,” so we are showing it tonight at 8/9 c and again at 10/9c. By the second showing you should be more than capable of reciting at least ten quotes and re-enacting his brilliant dance moves. Want to start practicing now? No problem.
