In a summer blockbuster season overrun with superhero flick and big-budget popcorn films, we cannot wait to see Wes Anderson’s latest, “Moonrise Kingdom,” when its hits theaters in limited release May 25. Focus Features has released two new clips from the movie, and they’re making it pretty hard to wait the next month until the film hits theaters.
Though “Moonrise Kingdom” is mostly about the love story between two 12-year-olds who run away together, it’s nice to see that this first clip (via The AV Club) just features the adult actors. Tilda Swinton steals the show here as a social services agent who comes to investigate the New England island town after a boy gets struck by lightning. This is a Wes Anderson movie, after all.
Here he is talking to Sam Shakusky and Suzy Bishop as they try to convince him to marry them. As they have no marriage license, are too young and don’t have parental consent, the union won’t hold up in the court, but Schwartzman still forces them to exercise caution when making such a big decision.
