It’s fall! Which we’re pretty sure means stuff is going to start falling from the sky, so you should probably stay inside, where it is safe, and watch television. We are just looking out for your best interests.
Here’s what to watch on IFC this week:
His “Slacker” was the quintessential 90s movie, but Richard Linklater didn’t stop there. He gets animated in “Waking Life” at 1:15 p.m. ET. It’s pretty deep for an animated feature.
Christian Slater and Tara Reid come together to investigate the supernatural in Uwe Boll’s “Alone in the Dark.” An otherworldly investigator learns of a secret which could mean the end of civilization as we know it in this thriller based on the popular video game Alone in the Dark. It starts at 10:15 p.m. ET.
Bret Easton Ellis’ dark and violent satire of America in the 1980s “American Psycho” starts at 7 p.m. ET. This unsettling drama with black comic overtones stars Christian Bale as Wall Street’s worse nightmare. Here are some other Christian Bale movies we love.
Nicolas Cage stars as an arms dealer with an ambitious Interpol agent on his tail in “Lord of War” at 7:05 p.m. ET or 9:35 p.m. ET.
Spend Friday night on the border in Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk ‘Til Dawn” at 7:45 p.m. ET. Then stay tuned for the original Australian version of “Wilfred” followed by a new episode of “Whisker Wars” at 11 p.m. ET. That’s Friday night done right.
Spend all day grooming your beard, waxing your ‘stache and watching our “Whisker Wars” marathon. The facial hair face off starts at 12:15 p.m. ET.
There’s just something about Steve. Jenniphr Goodman makes her directorial debut with this film about an overweight slacker (Donal Logue) who has an unusual ability to attract the ladies. “The Tao of Steve” starts at 5 p.m. ET.
