Last night, the Blind Barber bar in New York City was filled to capacity with whisker warriors, bearded bombshells, and mustachioed misters …and a few ladies. It wasn’t a circus sideshow, it was the “Whisker Wars” premiere party! The bar was packed tight with the stars of the show –which premieres Friday at 11 p.m. ET/10 p.m. CT–all in town to celebrate the launch of the Thom Beers’ production. And to drink cheap beer and eat free food. Members of the Gotham City Beard Alliance, the Austin Facial Hair Club, and facial hair enthusiasts from across the country kept the party going late into the night. Based on the fun that was had last night, we can guarantee the show will be filled with some of the wildest, funniest, most engaging characters ever to hit the small screen. Here are a few snapshots from the party last night. Wish you were there!
Before the beard and mustache competition kicked off, we wanted to make sure our competitors were in tip top shape. So we had beard tenders on hand to get everyone spiffy:
This is Miletus Callahan-Barile and his infamous beard, The Donagel, which, much like Rodney Dangerfield, gets no respect at all. Except from Miletus, of course:
Here’s Phil Olsen, the founder and self-appointed captain of Beard Team USA:
The finalists of the mustache competition included a daring woman sporting a fine ‘stache:
Myk O’Connor and his Gotham City Beard Alliance were well-represented at the party:
Even I got into the fun with the beard photo booth. Want to get in on some fake beard fun, too? Head here.:
