2D Boy’s clever, adorable puzzler’s landed on many platforms since its debut a few years ago. It started out on PC, then wound up on the Wii and came to Apple’s iPad late last year. That last iteration, in my humble opinion, is the best version of “World of Goo,” which is already beloved as one of the best indie games of all time.
If for some reason you don’t have some version of the game knocking around on some hard drive somewhere, you’ve got a chance to grab it for dirt cheap. To celebrate the release of the iPhone version of the game, developer 2D Boy’s made “World of Goo” available for one affordable American dollar. The game’s also been converted into a Universal App, meaning that you get the iPad version if you buy the iPhone version, or vice versa. The full price of the HD version is $4.99 and the non-HD version goes for $2.99, so the introductory price is a steal anyway you slice it.
