Coachella: Kanye West, The Strokes And Duran Duran

The line up for this year’s Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA has been announced. The three day festival kicks off Friday, April 15th, with the Kings of Leon headlining. Also playing opening day are the Black Keys, Interpol, Cee Lo, and Robert Smith collaborators, Crystal Castles among dozens of others scheduled to fire everyone up for the weekend.
Arcade Fire tops day two with Animal Collective, Mumford & Sons and Bright Eyes highlighting the day. But it’s the finale, Sunday the 17th, that looks to be the most impressive with musical genius/emotional wreck, Kanye West headlining. Prior to what I predict will be a blow out performance by Mr. West, the day will also be marked (or perhaps stained)
by the return of The Strokes. The last day will also see sets by The National, PJ Harvey and Duran Duran, whose mark Ronson produced album, “All You Need Is Now” has been getting solid reviews as a return to form for the classic 80’s band.
