If you’ve ever wanted to see Billboard hot 100 R&B singer, Usher, kicked in the head now’s your chance. The smooth superstar for part of his “OMG” tour at Madison Square Garden, had pulled a woman from the crowd to serenade her in classic form — hot male entertainer wooing an overzealous female fan. It’s a routine that can hardly be taken seriously after decades of parodies but crowds love it.
And the crowd at MSG was going crazy as Usher rubbed up against the anonymous woman on stage, singing his song “Trading Places,” some cheesy ode to sex, you know the kind. Gonna pay for dinner take me to see a movie / And whisper in my ear I bet you really wanna do me. Girl now take me home and get up in my Benz / Pour me up a shot and force me to the bed. Then the woman kicked him in the head.
Usher was a good sport though. “We play rough in the bed, you know” he said over the crowd which had blown completely up by that point, screaming and laughing. “We kick each other in the face and all kind of good stuff.”
