Over the last few years, Ben ‘Yahtzee’ Crosshaw’s “Zero Punctuation” video reviews have been must-see material for the video game enthusiast. Every Wednesday on the Escapist website, Crosshaw skewers or glibly praises recent releases to the amusement of viewers everywhere. His high-speed elocution and cheeky cartoons usually make hardcore gamers giggle, but this week Crosshaw’s got weightier stuff in mind.
He debuted a special episode of “Zero Punctuation” on the Video Game Voters Network site, imploring gamers of voting age to join the organization. ‘Yahtzee’ only touches lightly the impending Schwarznegger v. EMA Supreme Court case and mostly talks about how mainstream non-gamers perceive video games and the attitudes that drive the game regulation mentality. Depending on where you work, the two-minute clip’s a bit NSFW. Still, heed the man’s words and sign up for VGVN if you haven’t already.
