You probably fell in love with the Morning Benders already, especially if you saw the “Excuses” studio jam dream boat ride. Hot damn, that’s how you make music, old time, and with all your friends packed in a room with too many instruments. That’s what I’ve been trying to tell you. I could seethe with jealousy and lash out at someone on the street.

But I won’t. Something that beautiful tickles me too much to stay salty. And there’s more Morning Benders to consider, like the video for “Promises.” An altogether different kind of song from the Oldies lullaby, “Excuses,” this one sounds a bit more Rough Trade, their new label. Both songs are on the album, Big Echo which they’d “love for you to listen to it as it was intended to be heard, as an album, from start to finish.” How refreshing.
Oh, youth. All furs, and wine, guns and a series of crimes. And “Promises.”
