Check out Nashville’s young Madi Diaz, who, as a teenager, appeared in the documentary about the Paul Green School of Rock Music, “Rock School.” That’s the place that inspired the Richard Linklater picture “School of Rock,” though that film came first.
Anyway, Madi is all grown up and making sweet music. She has a record coming out and is all over SXSW this year. Here’s a duet she performed with Keegan DeWitt that I’m particularly fond of embedded below. DeWitt, an actor and songwriter who also composes, happens to have scored the film, “Cold Weather” which premieres at SXSW this year.
Just forget about this silly intro and get into the Fleetwood Mac cover, “Wild Heart” that follows.
“Wild Heart” – Keegan DeWitt and Madi Diaz.
And here’s Madi singing her song, “Let’s Go” up in some van.
