We’ve been a little caught up in other work this week — while we’re out, may we direct you to a few things over on the ol’ parent network?
"Getting Away With Murder": IFC’s first web series launches May 13th. Some trivia: lead actor Gilbert John is a filmmaker himself — his doc about his parents, "Frank & Cindy," is like some strange and potent mixture of "Grey Gardens" and "Behind the Music," and was the subject of the fourth episode of "This American Life." Supporting actor Kian Mitchum is Robert Mitchum‘s grandson.
And, not on the network, but too wonderful to let slide is David Lynch‘s plan to save the world and stop school violence. At DavidLynchFoundation.org, he’s announces his plan to "[t]each one million students around the world to meditate to transform schools from breeding grounds of stress and violence into centers of creativity and peace."
