We can’t stop watching the damn "Darkon" trailer — that final, slow-motion battle montage fills us with an intense happiness not at all born out of irony. The doc premieres at SXSW next month.
Two from the Todd at Twitch — here is the hotness that is the first teaser for Tom Tykwer‘s (of "Run Lola Run") "Perfume," based on Patrick Süskind‘s beloved novel. And here is trailer for Lucky McKee‘s "The Woods," which has apparently officially fallen into studio limbo. McKee’s 2002 debut "May" was a quirky, pleasingly competent horror film that got a minuscule theatrical release before becoming, on DVD, the kind of below-the-radar gem film geeks use to identify each other by dropping in conversation, e.g.:
"Actually, Anna Faris was in this great indie film once? It was…about this girl who ends up sewing body parts together to make a friend? I think it played at a few festivals, but it was barely in theaters?"
"Right, right, with Jeremy Sisto! I totally saw that."
"Yeah, it was pretty good."
