Trailers: One for "CSA: Confederate States of America," a faux doc speculating on life "if the South won the Civil War," here. One for "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio," with Julianne Moore doing her broken 50s housewife thing, here.
And one for "Green Street Hooligans," the "Elijah Wood gets kicked out of Harvard, becomes a soccer thug" thing, here. We found it amusing that "Hooligans" has now crowned itself "The movie Hollywood doesn’t want you to see!", which is certainly one way to look at the trouble it had finding a distributor. Either way, it’s getting a limited release on September 9th, and we’re sort of looking forward to it, what with Wood playing fighting hobbit, and Charlie Hunnam, late of Douglas McGrath’s smirkingly campy adaptation of "Nicholas Nickelby," doing a "Fight Club"-style Brad Pitt impersonation.
