Via the LA Times, MoveOn.org is hooking on to "Revenge of the Sith" in their new ad campaigns. Though they don’t actually use any copyrighted characters or images from the movie (nor do they have Lucas’ official blessing) MoveOn’s "Save the Republic" ads will apparently "mirror the iconography of the Lucas films, including ‘Star Wars” opening title crawl." The ads will draw parallels between the rise of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine (movies) with the rise of Senate majority leader Bill Frist (real life).
In the New York Times, a report on how the film industry is a-jiggle with anticipation over how many "Sith" screenings have already sold out. It’s been a slow, sllooooooow few months, but now Orlando can go off and get his hair done for all they care, this one will definitely be the first big film of the summer.
