I think in most scenarios, monogamy is about the willingness to commit to one person because you don't want to be with anyone else. However, I definitely know a few control freaks out there, who keep a girlfriend and expect her to be faithful, but yet they, themselves, go out and act single.

Monogamy is an act of rebellion against nature in the name of love.
