Ellen Stagg has been a photographer since she was 16 years old. She moved to New York City in 1996 from Connecticut to attend the School of Visual Arts to get her BFA in Photography. She decided to to stay in Manhattan after graduation, and then finally made the big move to Brooklyn for more space and a backyard in the summer of 2007.

She signed with her first photography agent at the end of her junior year of college. In her nine year career as a professional photographer she has worked in advertising, fashion, and portraiture, shooting for all kinds of magazines, look books, stock photography, and celebrities. When not shooting commercial photography, Ellen has always pursued her personal work as well -- her more erotic photos. She has been shooting erotic photography since she started using a camera, and has always loved all kinds of erotic art. However, she really got into the work in December 2005 when she met her muse, Justine Joli. She was the first model to help Ellen push her vision and introduced her to more adult industry models. Too ""artsy"" for porn mags and too ""porny"" for commercial work, Ellen soon had a stockpile of erotic images and no home for them. It was at the suggestion of a friend that she started her blog StaggStreet.com as an outlet for this work.

At first her site was getting ten visitors a day, but as the site received increasing attention through word-of-mouth buzz and press coverage from around the world, the numbers of visitors went from a few hundred a day to thousands. Since the beginning of 2008, close to half a million visitors have viewed her work on the blog.

These days, she still stays busy (and pays her rent) with her commercial work, but she passionately pursues her erotic photography at every opportunity. Her future plans include an expansion of her blog, photo books and gallery shows.
