In just a few years, Julissa Bermudez has established herself as one of the most sought after talents in media as a first-rate television broadcast personality.

She made her debut in 2003, representing the face of the New American Girl in a multi-cultural world on Telemundo/NBC sister channel MUN2 as the bilingual host of The Roof.  In 2005, she broke boundaries as the first Latina host on two of BET's hit shows, 106 & Park Live and The Center.

Julissa's boundless energy, beauty, drive and determination have quickly made her the "IT" girl in entertainment. Watched by millions everyday, mothers nationwide see her as the girl next door, while young girls admire her confidence and style. In addition to winning the hearts of America's TV viewing audience, Julissa's personality and presence have made her a favorite interviewer to A-list stars Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Beyonce, among others.

With an ever-increasing list of accomplishments, Julissa has taken on bigger roles by impressing casting directors and film producers in Hollywood. She was chosen to star in the critically acclaimed 2007 independent release, "Harlem Hostel," executive produced by Montesuma Esparza (Selena, Introducing Dorothy Dandrige), as well as the 2008 Weinstein company film, "Make It Happen," opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

A strong believer in giving back to the community, amidst a busy schedule Julissa lends her time and support to several notable charities. She participates in MAC's World Aids Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Walks, and recently traveled to her native Country, the Dominican Republic, with Soles United to distribute more than 10,000 pairs of shoes following the devastation of Hurricane Noel. She dreams of going back to the Dominican Republic to open an art school where underprivileged kids can be exposed to the arts in ways they otherwise could not.

While Julissa's exquisite looks may have opened doors, it's her ability to instantly connect with an audience that fans fall in love with, securing her position as a rising star.
