Steven is slightly freaked out by the sickly-sweet gifts that Lizzie's oversensitive boyfriend, Eric, makes for her, such as a personalized calendar and a pillowcase with his picture on it. Lizzie wishes Eric would just give her chocolates and flowers like a normal guy. Steven is relieved when Lizzie tells him that she plans to break up with Eric, and he eagerly agrees to comfort her afterwards. But once Eric arrives, Lizzie has sex with him and decides not to leave him.
