1) ELIGIBILITY: The Take a Trip to Portlandia Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open only to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States, who are eighteen (18) years of age or older, as of the date of their entry. Employees of The Independent Film Channel LLC ("Sponsor" or "IFC"), Bottlerocket Marketing Group, LLC ("Administrator") and all respective affiliates, parents, subsidiary companies, and advertising and promotion agencies (collectively the "Sweepstakes Entities") and members of their immediate families (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), and/or those living in the same household of each (whether or not related thereto) are not eligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes. 2) HOW TO EARN POINTS TOWARD SWEEPSTAKES ENTRIES: The Sweepstakes begins at or about 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on 12/7/11 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on 3/13/12 (the "Promotion Period"). Throughout the Promotion Period, there will be ten (10) weekly entry periods (the "Weekly Entry Periods"), as detailed below. On or about one (1) business day after each Weekly Entry Period, there will be one (1) random drawing (each a "Weekly Drawing"), performed from among all eligible entries received during the previous Weekly Entry Period(s). Each Weekly Drawing will select one (1) potential Grand Prize winner, one (1) potential First Prize winner and three (3) potential Second Prize winners. Non-winning entries WILL be carried forward into subsequent Weekly Drawings, if any. How to earn Sweepstakes Entries from the Points listed above: By participating in any of the Activity Book or ClipSync activities listed above and collecting points, you will earn entries into the Sweepstakes as follows:
- Earn 100 points to receive 1st Sweepstakes Entry;
- Earn additional 1,000 points to receive 2nd Sweepstakes Entry;
- Earn additional 2,000 points to receive 3rd Sweepstakes Entry;
- For the subsequent five (5) available entries, earn 1,000 points to receive each such additional entry;
LIMIT: There is a limit of eight (8) entries maximum, per person, regardless of activity performed or Promotion Microsite performed at, and email address or account used. Therefore, once eight (8) entries are received, all actions on the Promotion Microsites will still be functional, but earning the applicable points will not result in additional Sweepstakes entries. Entries received from any person and/or email address in excess of these stated limitations will be void. Incomplete activities/entries will not be eligible for points/entries. 3) WEEKLY ENTRY PERIODS/RANDOM DRAWINGS & NOTIFICATION/ ACCEPTANCE: All Weekly Entries must be earned/received during the applicable Weekly Entry Period, detailed below, in order to be eligible for the applicable Weekly Drawing, and all subsequent Weekly Drawings (if any). In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the e-mail account will be deemed to be the entrant. "Authorized account holder" of an e-mail address is the natural person in whose name the e-mail address has been issued. A selected potential winner may be asked to provide Sponsor with proof that the selected potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the entry will be deemed ineligible. Use of any/all automated devices not valid for activities/entry. Entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service provider will apply.
On or about one (1) business day after each Weekly Entry Period, there will be one Weekly Drawing, performed from among all eligible entries received during the previous Weekly Entry Period(s). Each Weekly Drawing will select one (1) potential Grand Prize winner, one (1) potential First Prize winner and three (3) potential Second Prize winners. The drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The potential winners must comply with these Official Rules as published in order to accept their prizes, and/or be confirmed as the official winners. Sponsor or Administrator will notify the potential winners by phone, email, or mail, on or about one (1) day after each applicable Weekly Drawing. Upon notification or notification attempt, potential winner(s) may be required to confirm their physical mailing address, for prize delivery purposes, within five (5) calendar days of such notification or notification attempt, or the applicable prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be notified. Or Sponsor/Administrator may simply confirm the applicable winners unilaterally and mail the prize(s) to the address provided upon entry. In the event Sponsor/Administrator reaches out to the potential winner, Sponsor/Administrator will attempt to contact such potential winner(s) two (2) times during the five (5) calendar day period. If in any instance, notification attempt(s) for the potential winner fails for any reason, or if a potential winner is found to have not complied with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be selected from among remaining applicable eligible entries, if any.
4) PRIZING AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES ("ARV"): Ten (10) Grand Prizes, Ten (10) First Prizes and Thirty (30) Second Prizes will be awarded.
Ten (10) GRAND PRIZES: Each Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) complete Portlandia silkscreen poster set (eleven (11) posters total) (ARV $385 each).
Ten (10) FIRST PRIZES: Each First Prize Winner will receive one (1) Portlandia Season 1 DVD Set (ARV $16.19 each).
Thirty (30) SECOND PRIZES: Each Second Prize Winner will receive one (1) Portlandia Bag (ARV $8.50 each).
There is a limit of one (1) prize per person, per Weekly Drawing, regardless of email address or account used. No substitution or transfer of prize by a winner is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for a different prize of greater or equal value. All prize details are at Sponsor's discretion. Prize winners are solely responsible for any and all expenses not specifically set forth herein. No substitutions for any prize are allowed, except by Sponsor, or as may be necessary due to prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred, changed, or redeemed for cash. Sponsor is responsible only for prize delivery; Sponsor is not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winners' names, hometowns and likenesses for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. The odds of winning a prize depend upon the total number of eligible entries received for each Weekly Drawing..
5) GENERAL: The total ARV of all prizes awarded in this Sweepstakes is four thousand two hundred and sixty seven dollars ($4,267). The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected plays/entries, misrouted or scrambled transmissions or communications, for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of telephone, Internet, computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any telephone or computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Sweepstakes, and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should any virus, bug, technical failures, unanticipated situations, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's initial intent and/or control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted and random drawing(s) will be held to award all prizes received for each applicable drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to such time. Once confirmed as a prize winner, Sponsor may use, display, distribute or publish the prize winner's name, likeness, photograph, voice, address (city and state only), biographical information, and any material based thereon or derived there from, or to refrain from so doing, in any manner in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, anywhere in the world in perpetuity in connection with this Sweepstakes, or as Sponsor otherwise determines in its sole discretion, and for purposes of advertising or trade in promoting or publicizing Sponsor, its products and/or services, without compensation (where legal). Acceptance of a prize constitutes a waiver of any claims to compensation, royalties, or other remuneration for such use.

Upon notification or notification attempt, potential winner(s) may be required to confirm their physical mailing address, for prize delivery purposes, within five (5) calendar days of such notification or notification attempt, or the applicable prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be notified. Or Sponsor/Administrator may simply confirm the applicable winners unilaterally and mail the prize(s) to the address provided upon entry. In the event Sponsor/Administrator reaches out to the potential winner, Sponsor/Administrator will attempt to contact such potential winner(s) two (2) times during the five (5) calendar day period. If in any instance, notification attempt(s) for the potential winner fails for any reason, or if a potential winner is found to have not complied with these Official Rules, such prize will be forfeited and an alternate potential winner will be selected from among remaining applicable eligible entries, if any.
4) PRIZING AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES ("ARV"): Ten (10) Grand Prizes, Ten (10) First Prizes and Thirty (30) Second Prizes will be awarded.
Ten (10) GRAND PRIZES: Each Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) complete Portlandia silkscreen poster set (eleven (11) posters total) (ARV $385 each).
Ten (10) FIRST PRIZES: Each First Prize Winner will receive one (1) Portlandia Season 1 DVD Set (ARV $16.19 each).
Thirty (30) SECOND PRIZES: Each Second Prize Winner will receive one (1) Portlandia Bag (ARV $8.50 each).
There is a limit of one (1) prize per person, per Weekly Drawing, regardless of email address or account used. No substitution or transfer of prize by a winner is permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for a different prize of greater or equal value. All prize details are at Sponsor's discretion. Prize winners are solely responsible for any and all expenses not specifically set forth herein. No substitutions for any prize are allowed, except by Sponsor, or as may be necessary due to prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred, changed, or redeemed for cash. Sponsor is responsible only for prize delivery; Sponsor is not responsible for prize utility, quality or otherwise. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission (except where prohibited) to use winners' names, hometowns and likenesses for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation. 5) GENERAL: The total ARV of all prizes awarded in this Sweepstakes is four thousand two hundred and sixty seven dollars ($4,267). The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, incorrect, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected plays/entries, misrouted or scrambled transmissions or communications, for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, or delays in operations or transmission of information, in each case whether arising by way of technical or other failures or malfunctions of telephone, Internet, computer hardware, software, communications devices, or transmission lines or data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry materials, loss or otherwise. Sponsor disclaims any liability for damage to any telephone or computer system resulting from participation in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with, this Sweepstakes, and reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should any virus, bug, technical failures, unanticipated situations, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's initial intent and/or control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In the event of any cancellation, termination or suspension, a notice will be posted and random drawing(s) will be held to award all prizes received for each applicable drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to such time. Sponsor reserves the right to modify or clarify these Official Rules as they see fit, without materially affecting the Official Rules, for any reason. Once confirmed as a prize winner, Sponsor may use, display, distribute or publish the prize winner's name, likeness, photograph, voice, address (city and state only), biographical information, and any material based thereon or derived there from, or to refrain from so doing, in any manner in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, anywhere in the world in perpetuity in connection with this Sweepstakes, or as Sponsor otherwise determines in its sole discretion, and for purposes of advertising or trade in promoting or publicizing Sponsor, its products and/or services, without compensation (where legal). Acceptance of a prize constitutes a waiver of any claims to compensation, royalties, or other remuneration for such use.
