Larry Miller (as The Pointy-Haired Boss)
Larry Miller lends his talents to the voice of The Pointy-Haired Boss, known to strike frenzied fear and unrelenting disrespect in all those beneath him, in DILBERT, the half-hour animated comedy distributed by Columbia TriStar International Television, a Sony Pictures Entertainment company.
As a classically-trained musician, beginning in his college years at Amherst, Miller was proficient on many instruments, but showed his true aspiration for comedy by submitting the thesis "A Harmonic Analysis of Frank Zappa." After graduating, Miller played piano and drums in New York clubs, then tried stand-up comedy at the Comic Strip. Succeeding in that arena, Miller moved to Hollywood in 1981, caught the attention of Milton Berle, and began opening for him in Las Vegas.
His stand-up spawned a career largely in film. Lauded for a memorable role as the pretentious boutique manager in Pretty Woman, Miller went on to featured roles in, most recently, The Nutty Professor, For Richer or Poorer, Dear God and Waiting for Guffman. His other film credits include Necessary Roughness, Undercover Blues, Radioland Murders and Corrina, Corrina.
On television, Miller has had regular roles in two series, Life's Work and The Pursuit of Happiness, and played recurring characters on CTIT’s Mad About You, George & Leo and Dream On. He has guest-starred on Law & Order, Star Trek: Voyager, and CTIT’s Seinfeld and The Larry Sanders Show.
