Apologies for the delay in filing this... The effect of high concentrations of power in a small area with a limited supply of oxygen is heady. It took about a day for most people to stop walking around bug-eyed with their mouths hanging open. Blinders would come in handy here in Denver as the journey into the Pepsi Center is the political junkie's equivalent to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Elected officials and former candidates are the Everlasting Gobstoppers- a rare delicacy, suddenly in abundant supply and within arm's reach. Over-caffeinated young volunteers work like Oompa Lumpas, governing an unnecessarily complicated logistical plan, policing separated recycling bins. The media is generally viewed in the same light as Slugworth, Fickelgruber and Prodnose. For those of you unfamiliar with Roald Dahl, those are the bad guys who send spies into the Willy Wonka's magical domain and try to steal his secrets. This is somewhat deserved as many nosy prodders in the press seem to be fixated on exploiting any potential discord between the Obama and Clinton camps. There is no comparison to the 2004 convention in Boston. This is a whole new kind of Democratic Party. This is a "Non-Pollutionary, Anti-Institutionary, Pro-Confectionery Factory of Politics!"
Watch our pieces online. This has to be seen to be believed.
