I agree with you that they are bombarding the air tubes. however, i don't fully agree with what you believe to be their motive. can't you see what they're doing? They're advertising to children. haha. we all think, "oh we had the BEST shows when we were children, and nowadays all they have is fucking 'ppower(intended) rangers WILD STRIKE SAMURIS', but shit like D@ Whitest Kids U'Know is completely intended for little kids like 8-12 or something. God i grew up with Strangers with Candy, Kids In the hall, SNadtv, haha and whatever crazy shit was out at the time that i cant remember.

In the early 90's, I fell in love with The Kids in the Hall, and when I heard their producer had something new, I wanted to check it out. I'm 32...not 12...and I happen to really like the Whitest Kids. I've met them in person and they are very kind and approachable guys. Poty humor? Sure, but when we hit 18 years old does that mean we can't find it funny anymore? Humor is all I have to keep me smiling most days, if I wanna laugh at a fart joke, I will, even when I'm 80.

Thank you Filmchick for saying what I've been meaning to write for ages. First, I've been a fan of sketch comedy for decades...starting with The Committee, Second City, Groundlings, Comedy Workshop, early SNL, Monty Python, Kids in the Hall. I love watching a good improvisation group work and seeing sketches developed through the process.
Whitest Kids U'Know is an insult to the talented artists who have gone before them in the genre. Here they have this incredible format, resources up the ying-yang and all they can come up with are poo-poo/pee-pee jokes! What a waste of air time. Plus all the posturing in the never-ending promos is embarrassing--to them as well as the craft.
They seem bright enough and able to carry off characters. But SOMEONE needs to sit down with them and tell them to get serious about their comedy. Do a little homework, a little research. Christ, anyone can say "fart" and get a laugh.
I'm not a prude and four-letter words don't offend me, when used as a punchline, they, in fact, bore me.
Which is exactly what WKUK does, bores me. Step up guys, you can do a LOT better.
