How about all of those forgotten Disney shorts- The Wind in the Willows, The Headless Horseman, etc.? I never wanted to look at a jack-o-lantern again. Good list though- Return to Oz is incredibly scary. So is the most recent Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (remember the melting doll heads?). Also, Tales From the Crypt. Some of them were really terrifying and yet still marketed toward children (there's an episode where a priest has an illegitimate child who murders everyone with an axe). Anyway, this is a good topic to discuss! Thanks for the episode. You've inspired me to post my own ideas about this topic on my blog.
Peace!
