As many of you probably heard last week, Muxtape, the third-party music sharing site created by Justin Ouellette has officially closed up shop. As a final farewell, Ouellette who wanted his visitors to experience the same joy he received while trading mixtapes as a youngster, posted a detailed essay on why his site is no more.
Just a week before Muxtape was put on indefinite hiatus, Ouellette contributed to IFC News' Independent Music Panels discussing, you guessed, third-party music sharing sites.
