Nerf Herder, IV (left)
That's right, I put their album cover as the image on this week's Super Tuesday posting--I figured they could use the press more than Madonna. Possibly the funniest band in rock--so glad to see they're back.
Madonna, Hard Candy
With the full-length out now, Madonna has almost an hour to save the world.
The Roots, Rising Down
There's some irresistible wet-and-grimy bass lines on this album. I'm lovin' the track "Get Busy."
Portishead, Third
I still can't believe we had to wait 11 years for this album.
Mudcrutch, Mudcrutch
Tom Petty puttin' out an album with his very first band.
New Found Glory/International Superheroes of Hardcore, Tip of the Iceberg/Takin' It Ova!
Two discs. On one, New Found Glory fires off some catchy new songs, on the other, their hardcore alter-egos pound out some hilarious, yet pretty infectious hardcore anthems. I almost hate to say it, but at the moment I'm leaning more towards their alter egos, especially with song titles like, "Captain Straightedge" and "Madball's Got Our Back."
Robyn, Robyn
Every time Robyn's name is brought up, people always ask me, "Remember Robyn." Of course I remember Robyn--quit askin' me that.
Def Leppard, Songs From The Sparkle Lounge
One thing you should always expect from a Def Leppard album: Production so sweet it will almost give you a toothache.
Jamie Lidell, Jim
Throwback and indie-hip at the same time--he was carrying this title around long before Amy Winehouse.
Santogold, Santogold
Maybe my pick of the week. In the same musical ball field as M.I.A.
Awesome Color, Electric Aborigines
Some sleazy rock from a band off of Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label.
South, You Are Here
If you like the following adjectives--dreamy, acoustic, indie--to describe your music, you will love South's latest offering.

The new New Found Glory CD is krazy good, and the Nerf Herder CD is also great.
