It almost brings a tear to my eye. Two of our Indie Ear faves, Ted Leo (aka, the nicest man in indie rock) and Liars will be heading out with the "big dogs" this spring/early summer.

(left) "Ted, this is Eddie Vedder. I was wondering what you were doing this June?"

Ted Leo and The Pharmacists will join alt-rock mammoths, Pearl Jam, on the second leg of their 10-date U.S. tour, beginning on June 19 in Camden, NJ. Hopefully the Pearl Jam crowd treats Leo right in his supporting spot, especially when he plays two nights at the world's most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, on June 24-25. Kings of Leon will open the first leg of the tour.

Radiohead have enlisted the help of Liars to support them on their 8-date North American tour starting on May 5 in West Palm Beach, FL. New Yorkers, like myself, won't get to see Radiohead until they play the All Points West Festival (NYC) in early August. The Radiohead/Liars dates are below:

May 5
Cruzan Amphitheatre
West Palm Beach, FL

May 6
Ford Amphitheatre
Tampa, FL

May 8
Lakewood Amphitheatre
Atlanta, GA

May 9
Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
Charlotte, NC

May 11
Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge
Bristow, VA

May 14
Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre
St Louis, MO

May 17
Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion
Houston, TX

May 18
Superpages.com Center
Dallas, TX

Thanks for the news, Jim!!! Last time I saw Mr. Leo, (In Williamsburg back in December) he announced that it would be his last time in New York for a while as he and his band needed a break from touring. However, it seems you just can't keep a kick-ass band down and now I have all the incentive I need for checking out Pearl Jam in June!
