Welcome to Indie Ear Madness 2008--the tournament to decide who is the best independent/indie-minded act in all of music today. Much like the NCAA Men's & Women's Basketball tournaments, this contest will take place over the next three weeks. The 64 bands competing in the tournament were chosen by the Indie Ear Selection Committee. To qualify for the competition each act had to (1) currently be on tour, (2) recently put out an album, or (3) have a new album that will be released in the near future.
Make sure to fill out your brackets and check back daily for all of the results.

This looks like a set-up to me.
So what's the criteria for judging?
Judging? Set-up? What are you guys talking about? The bands are top-secretly performing against each other in venues across the nation. The Indie Ear Selection Committee, based on several factors and a few intangibles, will then decide which act moves on to the next round. This is legit baby! Each group even has warm-up jackets and squirt bottles.
Well, you didn't say they had squirt bottles.

NORTH- Anti-Flag or Jim Noir
EAST- Strike Anywhere or Gnarls Barkley
WEST- Presidents of the USA or Band of Horses
SOUTH- BLACK KEYS ALL THE WAY!!, rem may be bit of a hard time for them, but theyll get through
