Filed under: LIKE IT? LOVE IT? HATE IT?Common and hip-hop pioneer, Afrika Bambaataa doing a Microsoft Zune commercial? Once again, the only reason I ask is because I'm undecided myself. I'm torn, damn it. Afrika Bambaataa on prime time TV is pretty freakin' awesome, so is the fact that an artist is talking about where he gets his musical inspiration from, but I just don't know about that girl who utters my cringe-worthy word of the month: amazing. Happy Birthday!

Today, I decided to throw a little B-Day bash here on the Indie Ear Blog. Why on April 17?* I actually don't know (?), but surprisingly, when I began researching who was born today, I discovered that my favorite professional wrestler of all-time shares the same birthday with a punk icon, one of hip-hop's founding fathers, a mysterious rock frontman, indie-rock's favorite pin-up girl from the '90s, and Mr. Reggie Noble himself.
