A sensitive but misguided teenager hits the road for a series of adventures in this independent drama. After escaping from a juvenile detention facility in the South, a young man tries to stay a few steps ahead of the law as he meets a variety of friendly and not-so-friendly strangers; eventually, he steals a gun from a naive woman while hitch-hiking. Julian Goldberger’s debut directorial effort received screenings at the 1998 Toronto Film Festival, the 1999 Berlin Film Festival, the 1999 Sundance Film Festival, and the 1999 South By Southwest Film Festival.
