Kokomo, Indiana. There's no hurricane aftermath or tsunami relief tents, but there is the definite looming threat of Chrysler and GM going away from this town leaving it lifeless. That would be some tragic irony since Elwood Haynes developed the first car in Kokomo, Indiana and the town is still filled with retirees who are now losing their GM benefits and others sitting white-knuckled at home waiting for the other shoe to drop. There are many of these stories across the nation, but I think the Elwood Haynes tie in and the lack of coverage the midwest gets is reason enough to come visit.

Hmmm..tough I thought Darfur, the Congo or Wall Street or the WTO headquarters.
