  • I'd love him to interview George Bush. Now that would be one HEATED exchange.

  • I would adore seeing Henry do an interview with Blixa Bargeld of Einstürzende Neubauten.
There aren't many interviewers who are genuinely interested in bringing informative and artistically insightful exchanges in to the public eye (so much as scandals and useless personal information to turn their subjects in to the separate entities of "celebrities"; whatever gets them the readers/viewers), but Henry has such a genuine and wonderful way of approaching his guests, I think it would relax the grumpy defensiveness prominent in the few interviews with Bargeld I've come across. I'd be interested to see him in an interview both where he's not affected by constant vigilance and has someone as challenging as Henry asking the questions. This could definitely have the potential to bring out a few gems from both of them.
I know Henry has the Neubauten tattoo and has published many of Nick Cave's books, so it doesn't seem a totally unrealistic idea to me.

  • I would really like for Henry to interview my band Sick Joke and we can perform on the show that would mean so much to us. But if not I would like for Henry to interview Ian Mackaye, or Dave Mustaine. Henry call us for your show SICK JOKE www.myspace.com/sickjokestx

  • Architecture In Helsinki, to get an insight into the tribe, of sorts, they've created for themselves

Of Montreal, because they're making the most engagingly original music now -- and, most of all, and most missing in action from Rollins' shows:

Michael Franti, to represent how he provides connections: between genres of music, between peoples, between transcendent experiences; and just because I honor what he does.

  • I'd love to see Henry interview Lemmy - I can't see why that hasn't happened yet, probably time and commitments. PJ Harvey is another candidate . The show absolutely kills by the way !

  • Glenn Danzig. Ian MacKaye.

They are old pals, and I dont think anyone else could even get either of them to do a honest interview like Henry could get from them. They have alot of seperate and shared history, and it would be good to see them share what they remember and what they can laugh about.

Hell, have Ian and Glenn interview Henry!

That would go down in history!

  • Josh Homme & Jesse Hughs

  • I'd like to see Henry interview Krist Novoselic.

  • Daniel Quinn, author of great books such as 'Ishmael' & 'My Ishmael'

  • Where was Henry on April 19? We didn't see him there at Lexington's Battle Green, where active military, veterans, law enforcement, and private citizens reaffirmed their oath to support and defend the Constitution.

  • Rush Limbaugh or Billy Ray Almond

  • I'd love to see him interview my special ed class - they'd eat him alive!

  • That's an easy one. Henry should interview Joey Keithley, a.k.a. Joey Shithead. He's an punk icon (like Henry), has been involved in activism and politics for 30+ years and is still fronting the legendary D.O.A. who has probably done more benefit shows than any other band - hardcore punk or otherwise. He also penned an excellent autobiography - "I, Shithead". I would find their conversation enthralling..

  • Steve Albini/Shellac musical guest. A conversation about the music industry?

    That would be great Henry.

  • Several -
    ******David Icke******
    Roman Polanski
Bunny Wailer (a living icon...who couldn't even make it to the states for the 3rd annual Reggae Fest - why? what else - "Thee Economy!" duh!
    S.Weinrich
    Diamanda
Terence McKenna (R.I.P.) from The Grave
Jack Herer specifically about the lame/non-existent infrastructure for hemp paper...or how about a whole panel of tops dogs from the paper industry regarding their pretentious claims of "sustainability"
    Noam Chomsky.....
    I guess that's a good start......

  • oh ya one more...for old times sake:
    Tom Troccoli's Dog

  • I think Brody Dalle would be a great guest for the show. She's a pioneer for women in the music business and isn't afraid of change with her new band Spinnerette.

  • This may be a tough sell, but I like some of Henry Rollins' personal view on drugs and alcohol - as in why would I ingest anything that would screw me up? In case anyone was wondering, smoking bags of chronic, blowing rails or smoking cocaine, eating handfuls of pharmecueticals and guzzling down whiskey is a sure way to end one's life prematurely. Hey if you're lucky you'll get to live long whilst you decend into insanity. The really lucky ones end up in prison, where they get the three hots and a cot and only have to avoid the occasional violation of personal space familiarly known as sodomy.

Most Rollins interviews, that I've seen, are softball tosses to people he wants to parade in front of his audience like beacons of non-hypocrisy. So I began to wonder... Henry is a personal abstainer of drugs and alcohol. "Straight Edge" is the colloquialism. I'm guessing its a mechanism of his personal empowerment and a badge of his strength. So what really is his view of those that partake - even in their self-deluded description of "in moderation"? For a guy who has a ferverent belief in clean living, he sure associates with a lot of dopers. That's a problem. Oh, and before someone jumps down my throat, yes I saw the episode with the letter to Toby Kieth. That doesn't nearly go far enough. So, instead of being so outspoken, fighting for the right of two men to make out in public at a moment of their choosing, why doesn't Mr. Rollins invest some of his time trying to save some people from dieing an alcoholic death? So many people die needlessly. So many families are destroyed - so many children suffer - not to mention the pragmatics associated with the cost to society at large.

I'm not just talking out my hind end here. I'm a recovered alcoholic. I'm interested in seeing what Mr Rollins opinion is on Alcoholics Anonymous - especially with the "God Thing" that is an integral part of the process. One would assume that its difficult to be an atheist and simultaneuosly understand what the most successful recovery method entails. With this subject there should no shortage of famous people to get on the show. After all, there's quite a few members of the fellowship who are celebs - rock stars - actors - baseball players - journalists - writers - you name it. To me, it would be interesting to see Henry Rollins talk about the spiritual solution, and how paradoxically the way of faith is the way of strength. I've never been much of a bible thumper, but I know what (more appropriately who) saved my life. It has nothing to do with with will power or mental strength. I have about as strong of a will as anyone and it made little difference.

Just in same manner that Mr Rollins calls BS on those out there who run a lie out to the public with resulting harm, I'm going to go a little out on a limb here and call BS on Rollins. It isn't a matter of personal fortitude or strength of will. Telling people that they are weak and making fun of them because they are alcoholics and/or drug addicts is going to do nothing but exasperate the issue. You tried it and didn't get hooked - well great for you. Someone could actually die listening to that kind of line. I've seen it. Its heart breaking every time. Alcoholism is a disease - a treatable one at that. If Mr Rollins wants to make a difference and do something truly good - he'll buy a 4th edition of Alcoholics Anonyomous and read it with an open mind before he publically speaks on the subject again.

Keep in mind that I generally like much of what Henry Rollins has to say, but in this subject he could use a little enlightenment.

  • i agree that jello biafra would be the best person to interview. i also think you or he or whoever reads this should adress how peace has become a fashion thing instead of a movement. i dont like that a shirt with a peace sign is made in some third world country for fifty cents and then sold for twenty dollars

  • Yes, Jello Biafra, Rowland S. Howard, Nick Cave, or Blixa Bargeld... Any of those would make me incredibly happy to see. :q

  • GLENN DANZIG- its just so fucking obvious.

  • trent reznor or better yet alec empire. darron aronofksy. famous video game developers

  • The Dalai Lama....don't know if he would do it, but that would be amazing.

  • henry , interview me , charles webster baer of bend oregon usa , I am the president of earth

    w w w . g l o b a l i n t e r n e t g o v e r n m e n t . c o m

  • Maynard. He helped with "bottom", I'm sure Maynard wouldn't say "no"...?

  • Steve Albini. I'd like to hear both of them discuss how they and other stakeholders in the entertainment business try to co-opt the DIY ethic for mainstream projects and when it succeeds and fails, like how bands hire Albini to regain their street credibility, and how Henry adds authenticity to film projects by just being in them.

  • Andrew Dugan

Writer of Andrew Dugan - "MMII"

    "The soundtrack to the apocalypse"

Dugan's upcoming release is 6 songs about the last 6 hours on earth. And describes a story of a prophet who is sent to warn mankind about the lightning storm that will destroy mankind. When the storm rolls in people scatter and panic and the prophet is left alone on the scorched earth. Fires rage over the earth as the prophet is engulfed in flames.

  • Maynard James Keenan!!!

  • just have to add my suggestion how about andrew wilkow? could you handle the conservitive punk? by the way henry the white supremicist you play on s.o.a. fits you perfectly. one thing I'll never understand is you are so anti government yet you support the administration that plans to increase the size of govt. to a point that freedom will only be granted by the ones in power. how do you justify such hypocrisy?

  • trent reznor
    kris novoselic
    joshua homme & jesse hughes

  • Henry should interview Gregg Graffin (lead singer of Bad Religion)

  • I´d love to see the Adrian Belew Power Trio perform and being interviewed here, since Henry allready stated that he is a fan. Remember the story with Willam Shatner?
    Thanks!

  • I would think it would be intersting to see Greg Ginn on the show if thats possible.j Mascis would be cool 2 :)

  • Glen beck or Karl Rove. Now that would be hilarious. I have $100 that Glen Beck will cry!
