Episode 01 - From Beyond the Twilight

At wit's end between her continued suffering and the lack of immediate retribution, the young girl's resolve finally breaks just as Hell Girl arrives...

Unable to access the site himself, Hajime finds another hit on the internet and unwittingly tracks down Ai's next target. It seems Chie was able to contact Hell Girl. In time to catch up with the young woman but not in time to stop her from exacting revenge, father and daughter will play witness as the damned finds himself thrown straight into the depths of hell, just as he threw one other...

Judge not lest ye be judged, and yet Hell Girl's final verdict will fell all. Can vengeance save?

Episode 09 - Sweet Trap

Unable to forget what he has witnessed, Hajime's day job is suffering from his growing obsession. And he's not the only one obsessed. Yuka and her sister Hiromi have shared a lifelong dream inherited from their father, to open a bakery. But as their dreams look to finally come to fruition, a failed passion from the past looks to sour the future. Mr. Morisaki seeks to ruin all that they have worked for, so Yuka plots to ruin him in turn. And Hajime just can't turn down a potential scoop...

A sweet tooth can come in many flavors. Will Mr. Morisaki's bankrupt them all?

Episode 10 - Friends

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and it doesn't matter what age the woman. When Minami's friend and mentor left her alone and forlorn on a stairwell after school one day, the young girl just couldn't get over it. Wanting nothing more than to get even, Minami contacts Hell Girl in order to send Shiori straight to hell. But when the karmic wheel turns and Shiori needs her former friend's help to get revenge, even Hajime won't be able to get there on time...

Will Minami and Shiori be friends forever, both in this world and the next?

Hajime visits an old co-worker about an employment opportunity, stumbling without knowledge into Hell Girl's domain. Of his recent articles numbers one that ruined not just a man but an entire family, and the son has a taste for revenge. When Hajime realizes what Masaya has in mind, he tries to convince the kid that an expose would do the trick. But when retribution's in order...

Episode 12 - Spilled Bits

A student misunderstood hides alone in her room, cut off from a world that she can no longer stand. With Cheppo's encouragement, the young girl contacts Hell Girl to rid Mr. Fukazawa from her life, but a surprising turn of events and a betrayal leave Akane unbalanced, no longer sure of what to do. Decisions made in the shadow of an abandoned house...

Will pity stay Akane's hand, or will pity damn both the girl and Mr. Fukazawa?

Episode 13 - Purgatory Girl

Accidental witness to Hell Girl's doings, Tsugumi's vision sends Hajime scouring the city for a particular bookstore. There, within pages dated and rare, Hajime finds an account of Ai from the past, tracking down clues laid for him over fifty years before. His goal: An old man named Fukumoto, the story's author. Amidst desolation and ruin, Hajime learns of Ai and her seal, the constant reminder of the damned's fate. But his activities and interference have now brought the reporter to the attention of Ai's companions...

A tale from the past. At the end of life's journey, will Fukumoto regret his vengeance upon Ohkouchi?

Episode 14 - Beyond the Dead End

Hajime's off again, this time to a town rife with political misdealings. Tracking down the daughter of a man whose suicide had several mysterious circumstances, the freelance reporter offers his services to get to the bottom of things. But the deeper he digs, the less black and white things become. Discovering two sides to the coin, despite the truth, Hajime begs Saki not to enact her vengeance upon Mayor Kusunoki. But when one is no longer interested in the truth...

Whether or not the past still rings false, will Saki seek revenge upon Mayor Kusunoki and damn a city?

Episode 15 - Island Woman

Through Tsugumi's shared sight with Hell Girl, Hajime and his daughter have tracked Ai down to a remote island. Although at first the reporter finds little welcome, and even less information, he finally uncovers the tragic past of a young woman. Her mother having run off with a lover, returned in shame with the young Mina in tow. Now in the care of her aunt Fujie, Mina seeks Ai's assistance to be free of such maternal mistake. But where love will stay the hand, love will also twist reality...

In saving herself, does Mina have any choice but to end Fujie's nightmare?

Episode 16 - A Night Among Traveling Entertainers

Once again on the hunt, this time to visit a circus, and Tsugumi gets an unexpected treat as they search out Hell Girl's next victim. But their repeated interference has drawn some dangerous interest indeed. Unaware of his associates, Hajime meets with a young girl, one of the star performers. Convinced she was the one to contact Ai, he leaves disappointed after a bad interview. But a horrifying vision sends Hajime racing back, as he realizes there was not one, but two...

Yumi, damned to hell on earth. Yuki, reveling in the limelight. Will sibling rivalry know no bounds?

Episode 17 - Glass Scenery

Just as Tsugumi begins to worry about what lies ahead in the fog, the car comes to a stop at the foot of an abandoned sanatorium. The facility's only patient, a sad young girl named Nina whose father abandoned her many years before. When Hell Girl comes to tell the girl she cannot exact the requested revenge, Nina decides to make Hajime and Tsugumi her new family. As the fog rolls in and things grow ever stranger, Ai's companions are forced to step in to save the reporter and his daughter, but from what...

Just as people can feel abandoned, so too can other things. But can "Nina" seek to hurt her father, for Nina?

Episode 18 - Bound Girl

Hajime's on another hunt, and this time he's sniffing around a recluse's mansion. Why would Ms. Simono, a retired school teacher who hates children, suffer one to visit her house daily? And why would Miki bother to visit such an ill tempered old woman? And which one contacted Hell Girl? The questions pile up as the reporter keeps watch, unaware of the young girl's loved ones suffering within. But Tsugumi may understand more than her father, as she struggles with the idea of vengeance...

Forced to suffer as no child should, will Miki condemn Ms. Simono? And will it be too late?

Episode 19 - Bride Doll

The prestigious Uijie family has been known for generations as master doll makers. A young orphan girl named Inori has been married into the family, but too late discovers her mother in law's twisted obsessions and vicious intentions. Episode 20 - Hell Boy vs. Hell Girl

While eavesdropping on the reporter, not only do Hell Girl's companions learn of Tsugumi's strange connection with Ai, but they are given a sneak preview of the coming attraction. A psychic publicly ousted by another of the profession, Watanabe wants nothing more than to get is revenge. But the victor, Gilles de L'Enfer has other plans in mind. Setting the stage so as to summon Ai herself, it's a battle royal you won't want to miss! Too bad none of it got filmed...

Will Gilles de L'Enfer's arrogance damn both himself and the half-wit Watanabe, all for fame and glory?

Episode 21 - The Kind Neighbor

Tsugumi's next vision hits eerily close to home, as the young girl sees her friend Yuko contacting Hell Girl. Driving out to the family's homestead, they arrive to find the farm in ruins and Yuko's father dead, having drunk himself into that state. Hajime soon learns of their neighbor, Mr. Sekine, and how with his assistance and advice the land and crops were steadily destroyed until there was nothing left. While his daughter is starting to see justice in vengeance, Hajime will stay his course to the end...

When Mr. Sekine takes all that is dear from the young Yuko, will she seek to return the favor?

Episode 22 - Rain of Remorse

The one to be damned: Noriko Hayashi

It's the anniversary of Ayumi's death, and both husband and daughter will honor her passing, each in their own way. Tsugumi is busy making Ayumi's favorite dish, to leave at the gravesite. Hajime is busy self-medicating, but even strong drink cannot block out the memories, or the remorse. When he learns of Hell Girl's next victim, there is an eerie resonance between Suetsugu's situation and Hajime's. Rushing to the scene of the soon to be crime, one will be too late to save another from the same regret...

Will Suetsugu's passion for Noriko, once loved, now spurned, burn as hot as the pits of hell?

Episode 23 - The Light of the Hospital Ward

The one to be damned: Kanako Sakuragi

A cheerful young nurse is Hell Girl's next targeted victim, but Hajime's investigations turn up no one who could possibly hold a grudge. Tsugumi's more than willing to mistrust Kanako though, convinced she must have done something to deserve the vengeance soon to be delivered. As lead after lead yields no results, Hajime finally finds an embittered old man who holds both Kanako and the hospital responsible for his wife's death. But with no knowledge of the internet, he couldn't possibly be suspect...

What sense is there to be found in the senseless, ending a young and beautiful life such as Kanako's?

Episode 24 - Home in the Twilight

As Tsugumi works to come to terms with her father's view on vengeance, they decide to put Hell Girl and her happenings behind them. But Ai has other plans for the little family. Communicating repeatedly with Tsugumi, Hajime and his daughter are drawn out to a remote inn. But they are baffled when Ai keeps asking for Sentaro. The reporter investigates the Seven Child Temple, where he learns of the gruesome local lore and legend, and possibly of Ai's past as well...

What is this mysterious connection between Ai and the Shibata's? And who is Sentaro?

Episode 25 - Hell Girl

Ages past, a remote village chose a seven-year-old girl to be sacrificed to the Kami of the mountain. But at the urgings of her family, Ai's cousin Sentaro takes the child away to live in hiding deep in the forest. For six long years, Ai lives in seclusion, her only company her cousin. For six long years the crops of the village fail, the peasants asking why. One night, desperate and starving, a handful of villagers follow Sentaro into the mountain forest and the deceit is revealed...

Will the wrath of a vengeful spirit prove far more damning than that of a mountain Kami?

Episode 26 - The Ephemeral

En route to Hell, Ai eludes eternal damnation to complete her revenge upon the Shibata's. Separating Tsugumi from Hajime, she shows the young girl the truth behind her mother's death, the happenings of that one awful night. As Ai hands Tsugumi the straw doll, she urges the daughter to damn the father. But with help from Ai's companions, Hajime bursts in before Tsugumi can pull the red string, releasing Ai's vengeance upon them both...

If regret is truly meaningless, then will Hajime, Tsugumi and Ai all be damned beyond salvation.
