GINA HECHT
Gina Hecht's career has spanned three decades. She has been a regular or recurring character on nine television series, most notably as a deli owner with her brother (played by Jay Thomas) on "Mork and Mindy," George's therapist on "Seinfeld," Cousin Angela on "Life Goes On," and half of the first primetime lesbian couple on "HeartBeat."  Gina has also guest-starred in over fifty hours of primetime television.  Movie of the Week credits include "Taking Back My Life," "Without Warning," "Pizza My Heart" and the soon-to-be-aired Hallmark Channel's "A Stanger's Heart" with Samantha Mathis.  Gina's film credits include "St. Elmo's Fire," "One Night Stand," "Family Prayers," "Ed TV," "Clockstoppers" and a role as Henry Winkler's neurotic fiancee in "Night Shift." She just completed filming "The Last Word," in which she plays Winona Ryder's mother.  In the world of theatre Gina has appeared in over a dozen plays, winning the LA Weekly Award for her performance in "Circle of Will," as well as two Drama-Logue Awards for her performances in "Night Owls" and "Wrestlers" with Mark Harmon and George Clooney.
 
Gina lives with her husband, writer Brian Herskowitz, and their two daughters in LA.
