It is speculated that the picture is of Paul Giamatti's stunt double.

A new image has been taken on the set of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ that could potentially reveal a first look at the Rhino. The image, which can be seen above, is speculated to be a stunt double for Paul Giamatti. That’s not confirmed, but if that speculation is true, this is our first look at what his character will look like.

SevenWebHeads snapped the picture and released a video speculating why they think this could be Rhino. It’s at least pretty clear that the character is Russian, meaning he is likely a part of Rhino’s posse even if he’s not Rhino himself.

There recently were first-look images of Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn and Jamie Foxx’s Electro released, so hopefully director Marc Webb will soon give Giamatti’s character the same treatment. It’s not yet been confirmed whether Giamatti will physically transform into Rhino in this movie or not.

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx, DeHaan, Colm Feore, Felicity Jones, Giamatti, BJ Novak and Sally Field. Foxx is playing Electro, DeHaan is Harry Osborn and Woodley is Mary Jane Watson. The movie comes out on May 2, 2014. Here’s the official synopsis:

In “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
