Charlie Hunnam, Terrence Howard, and Patrick Wilson, star in this Sundance thriller.
Coming to theaters in limited release on June 29 (and hitting VOD first on May 25) after its premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival is “The Ledge,” from writer/director Matthew Chapman. IMDb pegs it as “A thriller in which a battle of philosophies between a fundamentalist Christian and an atheist escalates into a lethal battle of wills.” It’s sort of a shame those guys — Patrick Wilson as the Christian, Charlie Hunnam as the atheist — aren’t both named Will, cause then it would be a lethal battle of wills between Wills. But, again, this is why I’m not a screenwriter.
The film also stars Terrence Howard as the guy who tries to talk Hunnam down from the titular molding and Liv Tyler as the woman married to one man who falls for the other, prompting said battle of wills. Too bad she’s not name Willa, cause then it could be a lethal battle of wills between Wills for Willa.
Can you tell I’m on a lot of cold medication right now? Here’s the trailer from Yahoo! Movies:
