The Dream Of The 90s Is Alive In ‘Portlandia’

Ah, the 90s. Remember back when grunge was a music style AND a fashion trend? When everyone wanted to look like a junkie, but they called it "heroin chic"? Music was loud, hair color was unnatural, you could wear flannel to the opera, "Singles" was high art, combat boots and sundresses were the ultimate look, espresso was for Italians, Arch Deluxes were haute cuisine, the best music played at 45 rpm, "120 Minutes" was the best show on television (next to "Twin Peak" of course), facial piercings were hot, and Bill Clinton was not making cigar jokes? Of course you do! Unless you don't. There is the school of thought that if you remember the 90s you weren't really living them. Ever wish you could re-live the 90s? Well on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:30/9:30c on IFC you will be transported to a land where the 90s still exist....
