Beastie Boy Adam Yauch revisits the ultimate 80's party anthem with a new short film and a star studded cast.
Adam Yauch has decided to pick up where the Beastie Boys left off in the classic video for 1986′s “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!).” Last seen sneaking out the back door of some nerds crib in the midst of a pie fight, Yauch’s short film “Fight For Your Right Revisited” will show what happens “after the boys leave the party.”
The short, which will premiere at Sundance in 2011, boasts a big cast including Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, and Jack Black. Pitchfork points out that this screen shot which was posted on the Beastie’s site depicts Rogen as Mike D, Wood as Ad-Rock, and Danny McBride as MCA (aka Yauch).
