A Look at Dash Shaw’s New Animated Project, “The Ruined Cast”

Take a peek at the first animated feature from the creator of IFC.com's "The Unclothed Man in the 35th Century."
If you liked our original animated series “The Unclothed Man in the 35th Century,” head on over to RuinedCast.com for a sneak peek at writer/director Dash Shaw’s latest animated project, “The Ruined Cast.” The film, Shaw’s first animated feature, is being produced by John Cameron Mitchell (whose new film “Rabbit Hole” starring Nicole Kidman premieres next week at the Toronto Film Festival) and was one of the projects selected for the 2010 Sundance Institute Directors and Screenwriters Lab. Sundance’s press release described the film as the story of “a disconnected family thrown into chaos when the scientist father loses the test subject of his experiment with appearance-altering technology.”
“The Ruined Cast” website features daily sketches from Shaw, plus behind-the-scenes materials, and quirky YouTube clips. Plus, there’s the first teaser trailer for the film, which we’ve embedded below.
