When doc filmmakers and doc subjects have conflicting agendas. Plus, Banksy!
The excellent “Exit Through The Gift Shop” is the most recent example of a doc in which the subject, Thierry Guetta, and the filmmaker, British artist Banksy (allegedly) seem to have openly competing agendas — Guetta sees his story as one of artistic success, and Banksy as a sad testament to hype being everything in the mainstream art scene.
