Matt and Kim’s bare-all music video, “Lessons Learned,” not only got a shout-out from the Indie Ear blog this week, but also received a full-page write-up in the New York Post.
During one of my subway commutes, I peaked over someone’s shoulder and began reading their newspaper. After a couple seconds, I had to do a double take when they turned the page: Wait, what!? Is that Matt and Kim in the New York Post?
According to the article, Matt and Kim were really nabbed by officers of the NYPD until the video’s production crew flashed their film permit. Co-director, Taylor Cohen, also admitted that they weren’t completely honest when applying for the permit, “I wrote that [Matt and Kim] would be inappropriately dressed for the season.” Cohen wasn’t that off base, considering being naked in NYC in the month of February is indeed, “inappropriately dressed for the season.”
(below: You gotta think a full page write-up in the Post is better than getting a blurb in the Metro’s entertainment section.)
