Hooray! and Boo! for Coachella
So the organizers of Coachella finally announced their line-up for this year's festival (April 17-19). As expected, one of the most anticipated U.S. festivals of the year boasts an amazing line-up (that's right, I busted out the word "amazing"). Paul McCartney, Morrissey, Franz Ferdinand, Leonard Cohen, and Conor Oberst play the first day. The Killers, Amy Winehouse, Thievery Corporation, and TV on The Radio will play Saturday. And The Cure, My Bloody Valentine, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs will close out this year's Coachella proceedings. (left: I wanna see bands reunited!@#!) Here's where I kick and cry like a little 2-year old baby. In the past Coachella has had the uncanny ability to reunite bands for its festival. For it's 2009 line-up, it looks like their magical pixie dust is in short supply. Paul McCartney? How 'bout getting Ringo and Julian Lennon (or even Sean) to play with him? Morrissey?...

Paul McCartney? How ’bout getting Ringo and Julian Lennon (or even Sean) to play with him?
Morrissey? Damn it, I want The Smiths!
Conor Oberst? I want outside-the-box thinking and wanna see a rare live performance from Desaparecidos.
Perry Farrell? Jane’s Addiction or Porno For Pyros please!
Bob Mould? How ’bout some Husker Du?
Paul Weller? Dang it, how come we can’t get a Jam reunion?
Henry Rollins? Would it be too much to ask to get Black Flag to do a one-off gig?
See what you’ve done Coachella? You’ve spoiled us all.
