It makes perfectly, perfectly, perfectly good sense that Robert Schneider of The Apples In Stereo has just announced that he will be releasing a children's album early next year on February 17, 2009. Schneider, who apparently tested out some of the material on his son Max, will take the persona of inventor/scientist character Robert Bobbert, and his album will be appropriately titled Robert Bobbert & The Bubble Machine. Kids’ ears are very tuned in to unusual sounds, so I threw many of my regular instruments out the window in order to come up with a whole new palette of colorful noises and wanted to make super-pop music that kids will like to sing along with.”

There will be live shows in select major markets in 2009.
